Henrik Walther wrote a nice blog entry on how to configure Exchange 2010 services to support SSL offloading. This is usefull when you want to terminate the HTTPS SSL Session at the Load balancer and use regular HTTP traffic to the Client Access Servers. Some like to do this for performance reasons while others like to intercept the HTTP traffic with an intermediate device to do some additional packet inspection.
