Hi,
I want to create a read-only calendar that is accessible to both internal colleagues and external clients.
First I created a mailbox “MeetingRoom” that is accessible via OWA. Then I turned off all unnecessary OWA features using the Set-casmailbox cmdlets. But I cannot hide any messaging features like Inbox, Send items. Is this possible?
How can I prevent users to customize or delete calendar events?
I use Exchange 2007.
Thanks for your advice.
I would create delegates to access the calendar only you can delegate very explicit rights so that people can only view and not contribute or edit items. So don't give away the pass of the Meetingroom but create separate user accounts that have access to this mailbox - Calendar only.Internal users can be given access directly on their account.
For internal users who use Outlook, your solution works very well. For external customers who normally do not have access to our servers, this solution seems less well. I can disable the mail but I would like to hide the mail features in OWA. Ideally, only the calendar function should be visible.
Is this possible?
