Hello,

It's been a while, but here I am again with another question.

We are hosting an external company on our Exchange server. They off course receive the default Global Address List on their clients.

I have already created a new GAL for this company, but need help with following.

Anyone who can provide a good link/instruction on how to change the settings so that the hosted company does not see the whole GAL, but only the newly created one for them?

I have googled a lot, but have not found any detailed procedure on how to accomplish this.

Hope anyone can help,

Thanks,

Ivo

There is a good whitepaper on this on Technet

White Paper: Configuring Virtual Organizations and Address List Segregation in Exchange 2007

Ivo,

My recommendations is to try and hold this off, provisioning this is difficult if you don't have an automated system of provisioning mailboxes etc.. You need to manage attributes and permissions for each mailbox you create on the platform so you can see how this quickly becomes a mess..

On a typical hosting platform there is a provisioning system that takes care of all this.

In addition this whitepaper doesn't apply to Exchange 2010.. I don't believe there is a solution for 2010 yet..
